I've been wondering how to make contact with like-minded sailors and wonder if your site might help.
An ancient mariner (76), I keep my little 33' sloop in Carriacou, West Indies (the next small island up from Grenada) and fly out from UK to sail the Grenadines during Feb/Mar/Apr each year.
I stick to the easy bit - the waters between St Vincent and Grenada and seem to spend an alarming amount of time in anchorages, just enjoying the balmy weather and the yachting scene, interspersed with some quite exciting dashes between the islands.
Friends and family join my from time to time but I'm on my own for longish periods and would welcome some company for the sort of relaxed cruising I can manage these days. My wife, who sailed 7 seas with me, has advancing arthritis and can no longer enjoy the life. She generously lets me go and play boats for as long as I am able.
Some salty, half-fit bloke who I would get along with on board? Now how would I achieve that...?
Any ideas would be welcome.
