Description: Wide Open. One of the greatest joys of open-water boating is the wide variety of offerings - you can do just about anything and go anywhere, anytime. Just not on one boat. Until the 280 SST came along. Up for a dive? Grab your snorkel or scuba equipment from the 280’s 77 cubic feet of carpeted storage space, and gear up on the 280's massive boarding platform. How about a longboard ski ride? Insert the removable stainless steel ski pylon and let 620 horses of torque-filled power take you for a wild set. Shore picnics? The 280's shallow draft and front bow ladder allow you into nooks and crannies where I/Os dare not tread. Long-range cruising? Let the 280's 100-gallon tank take you where you want to go. From here, it's wide open. Length 28'3" Beam 9'6" Boat Weight 6,200 Lbs. Seating 15 Persons or 2,300 Lbs. Fuel Capacity 103 Gallon Engines: Power has never looked so good. The MCX has 350 Vortec horses inside a 5.7L V8, enveloped in a simple serpentine belt system for supreme efficiency. The standard, torque-filled RTP-1 is a multiport-injected, 5.7L 310-horsepower, GM Vortec V8 that utilizes the 12th-generation Delphi Electronic Control Module (ECM) software custom calibrated to give you perfect power placement. A MasterCraft exclusive, this feisty, new 6.0-liter from GM packs a herd of horses inside its cast iron frame. Variable valve timing and tuned port exhaust ensure that all 400 horses are maximized for cruising or towing efficiency. The Vortec 8100 big block provides maximum horses (450 to be exact) and the most advanced technology (coil near plug ignition, free-flowing replicated port design). The Saltwater Series (SS) package offers your choice of Crusader 330-, 375- or 425-horsepower GM Vortec engines. All SS engines are closed cooled, are protected with premium multicoat, non-corrosive paint, and come with composite motor mounts.
